Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. We do not keep a local log of the terms entered.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review and answer it. We keep messages within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic, popular pages, and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that usage data for us. A browser can reject cookies, although disabling them may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains where Putnam County records are kept, including the Sheriff's Office, local courts, GBI's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention schedule, and disclosure practices govern anything entered there, and we cannot direct those practices. Review its terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to government offices, court systems, legal-aid resources, or private tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy terms control. Check them before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect information in our control. No internet service can promise perfect security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights may also arise under applicable law, including the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 10-1-390 through 10-1-407. Subject to legal limits and whether we hold the data, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
