Why We Built This Site
Georgia provides several lawful routes to public criminal-record information, yet the routes are not interchangeable. Putnam County Sheriff's Office keeps its reports, jail material, and sheriff-handled warrant records. The Clerk of Superior, State, and Juvenile Courts maintains filed charges and court outcomes. GCIC holds the statewide criminal-history repository, the Georgia Department of Corrections maintains sentenced-offender data, and GBI operates the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. We bring the verified search paths, request instructions, contacts, and available fee details together while keeping each custodian's role clear.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: verified routes to Putnam County offices and Georgia record systems
- Record guides: practical help locating and reading criminal court case records
- Official check explanations: how Georgia name-based access and authorized fingerprint checks differ
- Record restriction information: the Georgia process for eligible GCIC information and separate court sealing
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not an office of Putnam County or the State of Georgia. We are not connected with a court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file record-restriction requests, sealing petitions, or other paperwork for you
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, court clerk, or GBI/GCIC. We can identify the route, but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Third-party companies power search boxes that appear on some pages. They operate independently, choose their own prices, and control their results. If a visitor follows one of those tools into a paid service, we may receive a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. We do not set a partner's charges and cannot control the information it returns.
